Amanjot Kaur, an all-rounder for India, has denied rumors that her grandmother died, saying that the reports are not true. On Sunday, Amanjot’s Indian team beat South Africa by 52 runs in front of a full house at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai to win the Women’s World Cup 2025.
It was reported earlier that Amanjot’s 75-year-old grandmother, Bhagwanti Kaur, had a heart attack during the tournament. The family decided to keep this from her so she could stay focused. Some news sources later said that Bhagwanti had died.

Amanjot wrote, “Heyy just wanted to share that my grandmother is doing well and in good health. Please don’t believe or spread false information circulating online. Thank you to everyone who’s reached out with care and concern. My 90s kid is doing absolutely fine.”
