India's Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has settled on a new jersey sponsor for India, putting an end to weeks of speculation. Apollo Tyres has won the rights in a record deal of INR 579 crore, beating Canva and JK Cements in a close competition.
According to reports, the three-year deal extends until 2027 and includes 121 bilateral matches and 21 ICC matches. The company will spend approximately INR 4.77 crore per match, more than Dream11's earlier agreement of INR 4 crore per match.
The starting bidding price was INR 3.5 crore for bilateral series and INR 1.5 crore for ICC tournaments, but Apollo's dramatic offer left others behind. Canva made an offer of INR 544 crore, and JK Cements made an offer of INR 477 crore, but both were short of Apollo's aggressive bid.
BCCI was forced to seek a new sponsor after Dream11 relinquished the role following the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, which prohibited gaming businesses from sponsoring sporting events.
For the fans, the Indian cricket jersey is not just cloth, it's a feeling, a heritage, and pride. Now, Apollo Tyres' logo will occupy the prime place, marked in history as players battle for glory on the field.
"Apollo Tyres isn't just finding brand recall; it's engaging in conversation with each Indian fan – across cities, villages, and mobile screens," reports stated.
Apollo Tyres, founded in 1972, is already a name to reckon with globally and has operations in more than 100 countries. Resilient and strong, the company itself has the same values of toughness and grit as Team India.
The association extends through a number of high-profile ICC tournaments, various bilateral series, and potentially into the future World Cup cycle. Apollo Tyres is doing more than making a marketing splash, it's making a sustainable commitment to building a relationship with the pulse of the Indian fans.
By coming together with Team India, Apollo Tyres is not merely a sponsor; it becomes part of the journey of cricket, to share its sweat, hard work, and glory with each game.
