The National Selection Panel (NSP) has revealed the squads for the Qantas One-Day and T20 International Series against Pakistan and Bangladesh. Australia is set to face Pakistan in three One-Day Internationals in Rawalpindi on May 30, and in Lahore on June 2 and 4. After that, the team will head to Bangladesh for three ODI matches in Dhaka on June 9, 11, and 14, followed by three T20 Internationals in Chattogram on June 17, 19, and 21.
South Australia’s Sheffield Shield Player of the Year, Liam Scott, along with young Victorian batter Ollie Peake, are making their debut in the Australian squad. Peake was part of the Australian Test team in Sri Lanka last year as a development player but didn’t make the final squad.
Joel Davies from the Sydney Sixers, who earned the prestigious Andrew Symonds Award as last summer’s Most Valuable Player in the Big Bash League, is also joining the Australian squad for the T20 Internationals in Bangladesh for the first time.
Fast bowlers Billy Stanlake and Riley Meredith are making a comeback to the Australian setup for the ODIs against Pakistan, while New South Wales spinner Tanveer Sangha is included in both ODI squads. Meredith will also be part of the squad for the T20 series in Bangladesh.
