Kevin Pietersen finally arrived in India for the Indian Premier League. The former English batter works for Star Sports as a pundit and was traveling to Mumbai. He recently tweeted out about his trip, revealing that it was affected due to war.

Traveling to Mumbai on 14th to cover the clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, Kevin Pietersen tweeted out his experience of the flight. He revealed that the flight had to be rerouted and fueled more. Pietersen revealed the reason for the rerouting was due to the ongoing crisis between Israel and Iran.

Well that’s a first. Our plane last night had to go back and add another big load of fuel cos we had to reroute to avoid the missiles from Iran. MADNESS!!!!  Kevin Pietersen

He safely reached India and was present for the match between MI and CSK. CSK won with ease, scoring 206 thanks to fifties by Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube and an exciting cameo by MS Dhoni. They defended the score despite Rohit Sharma scoring his first IPL century since 2012

Kevin Pietersen forced to wear plastic ring in London

Kevin Pietersen is quite vocal about the problems he faces in the UK. Some of his previous tweets have been about the safety of the residents of London. In late March there was a stabbing incident in the city and he spoke about how unsafe the city is now.

A few days later, he openly called out London mayor Sadiq Khan on X for the poor safety. He also said he was not going to wear his watch and replaced his wedding ring with a plastic ring.

Just five hours later, he posted a photo of himself in London and commented that the city was safe, congratulating Khan for the incredible city.

Pietersen has played 104 Tests, 136 ODIs, and 37 T20Is for England. He also featured in 36 IPL matches.
