In a video released by the BCCI, Jaiswal explained his approach during his innings. “I always focus on the team first, and how I can contribute. That helps me figure out how to play, which shots to choose, and if I’m set, I make sure to stay as long as I can.”
Jaiswal also appreciated the crucial partnerships with Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill, noting how their smart strike rotation and attack on loose deliveries helped in applying pressure on the West Indies bowlers.
Jaiswal’s century was his seventh in Tests. His remarkable performance was praised by fans and cricketing greats alike, including Sunil Gavaskar, who applauded his consistency and ability to play a wide range of shots.
This innings further solidified Jaiswal’s rising reputation as one of India’s most promising young talents, showcasing his ability to endure long innings while demonstrating tactical awareness and maturity.
