Broadcasting blunders are common in cricket, and some of them have hogged the limelight over the years. However, the mistake during the opening Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan has surprised everyone. During the first red-ball game in Dhaka, India's scoreboard was displayed by broadcasters in place of Pakistan's Playing XI.
The incident happened after Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and opted to field at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. While the broadcasters were supposed to display Pakistan's starting XI, they mistakenly showed a scorecard featuring Indian players Rohit Sharma, Tilak Varma, Shubman Gill, Jitesh Sharma, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, and Mukesh Kumar.
The blunder took place during the live broadcast of the match when visuals related to the Indian National Cricket Team were shown instead of the graphics for the ongoing five-day game between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
While the clip of the bizarre incident is no longer available on social networking sites, fans quickly captured photos, which were shared across platforms.
The mistake by the channel became a meme fest, with cricket fanatics reacting to the incident.
Clearly it shows Pakistan copying media content of Indian broadcasters.Shame.
