India opener KL Rahul, continuing his fine form, brought up another half-century in the IND vs WI 1st Test in Ahmedabad-another of his three in 2025, scored off 101 balls and containing six fours. Rahul’s run-scoring spree has gone on to yield him 600 Test runs in the year.

Rahul stands as the second-highest run-scorer for India in Tests in 2025, behind only captain Shubman Gill. His run of good form began in 2025 with a productive series against England, where he scored two centuries and two fifties. With this recent half-century, Rahul now has his eyes on exceeding 700 runs for the first time in his career.

KL Rahul Slammed His Third Half-Century of 2025

The run-scoring machine, KL Rahul keeps the runs pouring in, making another fifty in the IND vs WI 1st Test at Ahmedabad. This was his third fifty of 2025, achieved after 101 balls and around six boundaries; thanks to his consistent run-scoring efforts, Rahul has managed to accumulate 600 runs in Test matches this year, thus being placed second among run-getters for India after captain Shubman Gill in the year 2025.

Rahul’s form started with a bang in the England series in which he scored two hundreds and two fifties. Building on this momentum against the West Indies, he has really stamped his authority as one of the best openers for India in Tests.

An average of 50 in 2025 gives him enough matches to cross the 700 runs barrier for the first time in his career. These forthcoming matches are in the form of the IND vs WI 2nd Test and the IND vs SA Tests, through which he can add to his tally.

He wants to convert this fifty into a hundred, his first on home soil since 2016 and only his second in the country ever. In total, he has 10 hundreds, with nine of them on foreign soil.
