India has advanced to the Super 8 round of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 following their successful performance. The Suryakumar Yadav-led team achieved the first Group A qualification by winning against Pakistan with a 61-run victory in Colombo. India has maintained their winning streak in three group matches and they appear ready for the upcoming matches.
India will meet South Africa, Zimbabwe and West Indies during the Super 8 round. India requires two victories from these matches to reach the semifinals for their third consecutive tournament.
India will play their first Super 8 match against South Africa on February 22 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad where the Proteas will look to take the revenge of T20 World Cup 2024's defeat. The second match will be against Zimbabwe on February 26 in Chennai. India will face West Indies in their Super 8 match on March 1 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

India will aim to win at least two of these matches. Their net run rate will improve through large victories which will help them achieve semifinal qualification.
The Super 8 stage includes the best teams from the group stage. Each team will play three matches. The top two teams from every group will advance to the semifinals.

The semifinals will be held on March 4 and March 5 while the final will take place on March 8. The final's location will depend on whether Pakistan qualifies for the tournament. The final match will be played in Colombo if Pakistan qualifies. The final will take place in Ahmedabad if Pakistan does not qualify.
India has emerged as one of the leading contenders to win the tournament. The team will enhance their winning streak through their strong batting and bowling and leadership skills which will help them secure another T20 World Cup victory.
