The 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi made this statement to a broadcaster after he scored a hundred in 35 balls against GT during IPL 2025. At that time, people considered him a highly skilled player who possessed too much confidence.

Romario Shepherd follows with 5.1, then Urvil Patel at 5.3, Jake Fraser-McGurk at 6.4, and Andre Russell at 6.8. He achieved the record for most sixes by an Indian in an innings when he hit 11 sixes and together with Yashasvi Jaiswal reached the milestone of 500 IPL runs at the quickest pace.

He established the seasonal record for most sixes after playing only 10 innings when he hit 35 sixes. The next players on the list are Fraser-McGurk who has 28 home runs and Shaun Marsh who has 25 home runs and Nitish Rana who has 24 home runs and both Chris Lynn and Priyansh Arya who have 22 home runs.
