An impressive performance with the ball saw Australia secure a 216-run lead against Pakistan in the Perth Test. The visitors, who were already on the backfoot after losing crucial wickets in the morning session on the third day, failed to show the stomach for a fight post Lunch and were bundled out for 271.

Coming out to bat in the second innings, David Warner, the hero for Australia in their first innings, departed for a duck. Khurram Shahzad bowled one on a back of a length in line of the stumps and managed to get some extra bounce. Warner was caught in an uncomfortable position and cramped for room. He looked to help the pull away but could only lob it to mid-wicket off the top half of his bat. Imam circles around the ball tentatively for a while but eventually kept his cool to pouch the dolly.

Pakistan are well behind in the contest, but the wicket of Australia’s in-form southpaw will lift their spirits.
