Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2026.

Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning

"We will bowl first. There is always room for improvement. We batted well, but the bowlers need to improve their performance. There is grass on the wicket, and it has been raining, so we decided to bowl first. The pitch will remain good for 40 overs, and I think the dew will come in the second innings," Ajinkya Rahane said.

SRH skipper Ishan Kishan would have bowled first as well had he won the toss.

"We wanted to bowl first, but you will have to make sure how the wicket plays when you are batting first. A lot will depend on our mindset, and we will have to do the basics right. It is important to execute our plans. We will look to keep things simple in this game," Ishan Kishan said.
