KL Rahul leans into an exquisite cover drive

KL Rahul executed his plans to perfection on Day 2 of the first Test match between India and South Africa in Centurion, mixing attack and defence in equal measure to score 101 even as the visitors kept losing wickets on the other end in the first innings. It was his eighth Test century and his second in successive matches in Centurion. Rahul was the last batter to be dismissed when India were bowled out for 245.

Following the conclusion of the first Test which came to a conclusion in three days as India lost by an innings, the Indian players had an optional practice session on Saturday and will subsequently fly to Cape Town on Sunday.
