KL Rahul showcased his sharp reflexes to take a low catch, dismissing Brandon King on Day 3 of the first Test between India and West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, October 4. King was sent back after scoring just five runs off 18 balls, leaving the visitors struggling at 34/3.
The wicket fell in the 17th over of the West Indies’ second innings. Ravindra Jadeja bowled a fuller delivery that spun away, inducing an outside edge. Rahul reacted instantly, securing the catch with his fingers under the ball to ensure a clean take. You can watch the video here:

KL Rahul was outstanding with the bat for India, scoring his 11th Test century and his second at home in the first innings.
A dominant bowling effort has put India firmly in control against the West Indies in the opening Test. At the time of writing, the visitors were struggling at 35/4 after 17.3 overs, with Alick Athanaze and Shai Hope at the crease. Ravindra Jadeja led India’s attack with two wickets. On Day 1, West Indies were dismissed for 162 in their first innings.
Mohammed Siraj led the wickets tally with four scalps, while Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav took three and two wickets, respectively. India responded strongly, declaring their first innings at 448/5 after stumps on Day 2. Dhruv Jurel starred with 125 off 210 balls, hitting three sixes and 15 fours, while Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 104 from 176 deliveries, including five sixes and six fours.
The pair added 206 runs for the fifth wicket. KL Rahul also scored a century, making 100 off 197 balls with 12 boundaries. Skipper Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed 50 (100) and 36 (54), respectively. Meanwhile, West Indies captain Roston Chase took two wickets, standing out for the tourists.
