Kuwait defeated India by 27 runs in the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 match on Saturday. Kuwait were far better than the Dinesh Karthik-led team, with Yasin Patel being declared Player of the Match for his superb performance in the contest.
Batting first, Kuwait scored 106/5 in 6 overs in 6 overs. Their batters hit boundaries and were quick between the wickets. Yasin hit five consecutive sixes in the last over of the innings to take his team to 106 runs.

India’s reply suffered a setback when Robin Uthappa was dismissed for a golden duck. Dinesh Karthik and Stuart Binny failed to score big. Although Abhimanyu Mithun amassed 26 runs off 9 balls, India managed 79/6 in 5.4 overs.
Yasin Patel took 3 wickets and conceded 23 runs in 2 overs. In the final over, bowled by Adnan Idrees, Mithun hit three consecutive sixes, but the bowler had the last laugh as he got rid of the rival player, confirming Kuwait’s win.
