The event was held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, which is in fact, the capital of the country.
The win is a considerable push for the Bolts, who have had a hard time getting anywhere in the tournament. Jankapur ends their winless streak with this victory, coming in their fifth game of the season, and looks to create a positive wave as they go ahead. The win brings back the hope and confidence that the team will need as they continue their fight in the league.
Chitwan Rhinos, who are now at the fourth spot of the table, made a good opening when they called the toss correctly and opted to bat first. The group scored 176 runs, losing only four wickets in their 20 overs at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.
The innings for the Rhinos was led mostly by the opening batsmen, David Malan and Arjun Sawad, and they were instrumental in establishing the initial stage of the innings. Malan was the top scorer with 80 runs and Sawad also contributed well with 52 runs which resulted in a very good partnership of 112 runs. The bowling department of the Janakpur team did manage to take wickets and at the same time made things difficult for the batters, and Anil Shah, Rupesh Singh, Maaz Sadaqat, and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton all took one wicket each.
Jankapur Bolts successfully chased the target of 177 runs with impressive efficiency, recording 180 runs in just 17.3 overs with four wickets lost. Maaz Sadaqat was the star of the show with 63 runs off 30 balls, hitting six fours and four sixes, while Anil Sah was the second-most noticeable with 61 runs off 36 balls with four fours and three sixes as well.
The scoring was supported by Aasif Sheikh and Aaditya Mahata, who each scored 18 runs, and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, who added 11 runs. Chitwan’s bowling attack was not able to keep the pressure on the batters, and that resulted in Sohail Tanvir, Kamal Airee, and Amar Routela each taking one wicket only during the chase.
