Cummins reveals all

Australia fast-bowler pitches in for ‘Testy’, a six-episode documentary series on the Australian men’s cricket team scheduled to launch on Amazon Prime Video on May 24, where Cummins reveals how he contributed to the crucial dismissal of Bairstow.

Cummins had seen the batsman double-step his crease when ducking short-pitched balls and gave Alex Carey instructions as to where to pitch his right hand.

‘It was Cameron Green, I think, who was bowling, and he bowled a bouncer, and he [Bairstow] just ducked under it and then just strolled out of his crease. ’ So earlier today, I said to Kez, The ball, before I said it, just have a throw,” Cummins said.

Carey took this advice and threw the ball at the stumps after a bouncer, caught Bairstow off guard after he left his crease. The episode resulted in several hours of arguments inside the Lord’s Long Room, with MCC members taking turns shouting abusive remarks at the Australians as they left the ground to go back to the cricket team’s dressing room for their lunch.

Looking back and seeing that we had taken the heart out of them—or what have you done? I mean, people skipped.

Usman Khawaja’s Perspective

Usman Khawaja shared his experience of hostility in the Long Room. One of them was showering me with pheromones, and I was like,

‘No, I would rather you not do that to me’ and he was like, ‘Well, I can spritz you like that because I want to’ with a sense of entitlement almost. ”

Stokes once again rescued England—this time he scored 155 runs—but the side still lost their two England counterparts and ended up losing the match. However, despite this initial momentum, Australia could not sustain their lead, and England came back in the later stages of the series to end the series tied at 2-2.
