Former India cricketer Parthiv Patel said that Ravindra Jadeja is the best all-rounder in the world and is far better than Pat Cummins, Ben Stokes, and Shakib al Hasan. The southpaw was named the Player of the Match for his all-round performance in the first Test against the West Indies. He scored an unbeaten 104 runs and took 4 wickets in the second innings to help India win the contest by an innings and 140 runs.

Jadeja has been consistent in the longest format of the game and has contributed with the bat in overseas matches. Parthiv feels Jadeja will reach the mark of 400 wickets and 4000 runs in Test cricket. “Jadeja is India’s greatest all-rounder. I expect him to reach the 400 wickets and 4000 runs by the end of his career. He is the number one all-rounder in the world,” Patel said on JioHotstar.

“Jadeja is far ahead of Ben Stokes, Pat Cummins, and Shakib Al Hasan. He has been consistent as a batter and bowler in all conditions, which sets him apart. Jadeja has been brilliant for a long period of time, and that confirms his top position,” he added.

Jadeja is the top-ranked all-rounder in the ICC Rankings with a total of 405 rating points. The 36-year-old has scored 3990 runs in his career at an average of 38.73 with six centuries and 27 half-centuries. He has taken 334 wickets at an average of 25.07, with three ten-wicket hauls.

In the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England, he accumulated 516 and dismissed seven batters.
