Rinku Singh executed a perfectly judged running catch near the boundary to dismiss Glenn Phillips in the fourth T20I between India and New Zealand in Vizag on Wednesday, January 28. Phillips departed after scoring 24 off 16 balls, which included a six and three boundaries. The dismissal left New Zealand reeling at 137 for four.

The breakthrough came in the 14th over of the Kiwi innings. Kuldeep Yadav delivered a length ball on middle and leg that turned into Phillips, who attempted to clear the bowler by going on the back foot. Sprinting in from long-on, Rinku judged the ball perfectly and completed an excellent catch while leaping near the ropes.

It marked his third catch of the match, having earlier dismissed both New Zealand openers as well. You can watch the video here:

Spearheaded by Kuldeep Yadav, India produced a disciplined bowling effort to claw their way back against New Zealand in the fourth T20I. At the time of writing, the visitors were placed at 152/5 after 15.1 overs, with Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Santner batting in the middle.

Tim Seifert was New Zealand’s top-scorer, smashing 62 off 36 deliveries, including three sixes and seven fours. India have been dominant throughout the T20I series. After securing three straight victories, they have sealed an unassailable 3-0 advantage in the five-match contest.

This also marked their eighth successive T20I series triumph since winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. The Suryakumar Yadav-led outfit had also clinched the Asia Cup in 2025. The Men in Blue will aim to extend their strong home run in the remaining matches of the series and carry the momentum into the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Meanwhile, New Zealand will be eager to regain form ahead of the global tournament, having now suffered their fifth consecutive T20I series defeat against India.
