Despite the intense pressure of the moment, the former Indian captain still took time out to record a special video for his fan girl and assured her that he would meet her the next time he visits Eden Gardens.
“Hii Genea!! I am sorry that I couldn’t meet you at the Eden Gardens. I saw your video, and it’s actually very difficult to catch a noise when there are so many people shouting. So, I couldn’t hear you. I might have missed it, but next time, when I am there at the Eden Gardens, I will definitely meet you. Best of luck.” Rohit expressed in the video.
The incident took place on May 20 during Mumbai Indians’ match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Rohit Sharma’s young fan was standing at a distance as he walked from the team bus into the stadium. The fan repeatedly called out for his autograph, but the star batter did not hear her and proceeded inside the venue.
