A viral video circulating on social media has sparked claims that a few fans attempted to grab a watch from Rohit Sharma’s wrist while the Mumbai Indians star was sitting inside his car. In the clip, several excited fans can be seen reaching out to shake Sharma’s hand before seemingly trying to touch the luxury watch on his wrist.
The video appears to show Sharma wearing the Rolex Daytona Giraffe, a watch reportedly valued at around Rs 3.25 crore, although the exact price has not been officially confirmed. While Mumbai Indians are currently in Raipur ahead of their May 10 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it remains unclear whether the incident actually took place there.

After pulling his hand away from the young fans, Rohit Sharma appeared visibly upset and was seen reprimanding them before rolling up his car window and quickly leaving the spot. The exact timing of when the video was recorded, however, has not yet been confirmed.
After recently creating excitement with a teaser that hinted at his television debut, Rohit Sharma will now aim to make a strong impact once again on the field in Indian Premier League 2026. A toe injury suffered during Mumbai Indians’ previous clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, along with a hamstring issue, has restricted him to just five appearances in the team’s 10 matches so far this season.
Despite the limited outings, Sharma has impressed with 221 runs at an average of 55 and a strike rate exceeding 174. He has registered two half-centuries, both of which came during successful run chases of more than 220. In Mumbai’s previous outing, the opener played a crucial knock of 84 that guided MI to a thrilling chase of 229 against Lucknow Super Giants with eight balls remaining.
