Team India vice-captain Shubman Gill humorously cheered Abhishek Sharma as he received the ‘Player of the Tournament’ (POTT) award following the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan. Sharma was honored with a cash prize and a sleek black Haval GWM H9 for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
“Oh chale aayiye Raju du munda (Here comes Raju’s son),” Gill said as a few other teammates also joined in on cheering the left-hander.

Although Abhishek Sharma couldn’t make a big score in the final, he had an outstanding tournament overall. He finished as the top run-scorer with 314 runs in seven matches, averaging 44.85 with a strike rate of 200, including three half-centuries.
His highest score came against Bangladesh in the Super 4 match, where he smashed 75 off 37 balls, hitting six fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 202.7. His consistent and impressive performances earned him well-deserved recognition.
After winning the POTT award, Abhishek Sharma was gifted a brand-new black Haval GWM H9. Following the final, he was seen in the car with his opening partner, Shubman Gill. The car featured a large red ribbon on the hood, and both players wore their Team India T20I jerseys.
Seated in the front, Abhishek held the phone to take selfies while Gill posed alongside him. The two stars shared big smiles as they captured the moments inside the car. You can watch the video here:
