Smriti Mandhana has once again become the No.1 batter in the ICC Rankings after scoring a fifty in the opening match against Australia on September 14. She was dethroned from the top spot by England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt.

The southpaw first claimed the top spot in June but was replaced by Sciver-Brunt, who scored 160 runs at an average in the ODI series against India.

In the first game against the Aussies, Mandhana amassed 58 runs off 63 balls, with the help of six boundaries and two sixes. She added 114 runs with Pratika Rawal, helping the Women in Blue post 281/7.

However, Australia won the match by 8 wickets. Smriti is the leading scorer in the fifty-over format this year, accumulating 686 runs in 12 matches, laced with 2 hundreds and 3 fifties.

India’s Pratika Rawal and Harleen Deol have gained in the rankings, reaching 42nd and 43rd spots, respectively.

In the bowling rankings, India’s Sneh Rana has reached the 13th rank. England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to lead the table despite not playing last week.

In the all-rounder’s category, Australia’s Ash Gardner is at the top. Meanwhile, India and Australia will compete in the second ODI on September 17.
