For SRH, they could not manage to defend a decent score.

Batting first on their home turf, Sunrisers Hyderabad were bundled out for 165 in 19 overs even after getting a flying start. Travis Head scoring 61 of 28 balls while Ishan Kishan contributing a decent 42 but from middle and lower order no great scores followed as the team kept losing wickets. For the KKR, Varun Chakaravarthy took 3 wickets and Sunil Narine and Kartik Tyagi picked 2 wickets each and ended the SRH inning.
During the pursuit, the KKR batters started with a banging note as Finn Allen smashed 29 of 13 balls, followed by the KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane who played an anchor role with a 43 whereas Angkrish Raghuvanshi played an excellent knock of 59 to finish off the match easily while Rinku Singh also stayed unbeaten on 22. KKR team maintained the run rate and easily scored 166 while the Sunrisers bowling unit struggled with Pat Cummins leaking 47 runs.
