Apollo Tyres is all set to become the new jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team, with the deal reportedly running until 2027, as per a Times of India report. Canva and JK Tyre were also in the race, while Birla Optus Paints showed interest but decided against joining the bidding process.

The agreement follows the BCCI’s decision to end its partnership with Dream11 after betting-related apps were banned under new regulations.

Under the fresh contract, Apollo Tyres will pay the BCCI Rs 4.5 crore per match, exceeding Dream11’s previous contribution of Rs 4 crore. With India’s packed international schedule, the partnership promises the tyre company substantial global exposure and is one of the most profitable sponsorship arrangements in recent Indian cricket history.

At present, the Indian men’s side is playing the Asia Cup without a jersey sponsor, while the women’s team is also without a sponsor in their ongoing ODI series against Australia.

There is still uncertainty over whether Apollo Tyres will appear on the women’s jerseys during the upcoming Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 30 September. Dream11 terminated its deal with the Indian Cricket Board ahead of the men’s Asia Cup, following the government’s clampdown on real money gaming under the newly passed Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act.
