After India clinched the Asia Cup 2025 title, mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy brought a touch of humour by sharing a series of images on Instagram that left fans amused.

In the posts, Chakravarthy showed himself lying in bed clutching a coffee mug, mimicking the familiar pose of athletes resting with their trophies after big wins. He also shared a close-up shot of the mug, playfully presenting it as a stand-in for India’s Asia Cup trophy.

The light-hearted gesture quickly became viral on social media. Fans praised Chakravarthy’s humour and appreciated the clever reference to the missing trophy.

Although the actual trophy was missing, the Indian team made the moment special, with Chakravarthy’s mug post reflecting their decision to celebrate in their own distinctive style.

India clinch ninth Asia Cup Title with five-wicket win

India’s spinners dominated Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final, leading to a five-wicket victory and India’s ninth title. Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets, while Varun Chakravarthy claimed key dismissals of openers Farhan and Zaman. Pakistan collapsed from 113/1 to 146 all out in 19.1 overs, losing nine wickets for 33 runs. Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah also contributed with crucial wickets.

Chasing 147, India recovered from 20/3 thanks to Tilak Varma’s unbeaten 69, supported by partnerships with Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube.

Post-match, India refused to take the trophy from ACC president and PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, continuing celebrations without the official silverware.
