One of the greatest batters to have graced the game, West Indies virtuoso Brian Lara turns a year older today. The left-hander's strokeplay was replete with nonchalant swagger as he smashed 11,953 runs in 131 Tests. He notched up 34 hundreds, nine double centuries and 48 fifties. Brian Lara is one of the four batters to score two triple tons along with Don Bradman, Virender Sehwag, and Chris Gayle. He has also notched up nine double tons in Test cricket, which is the third most by any batter.
Cricket lovers from the 90s will forever remember this knock.
