Damon Heta captured his PDC Tour Card in early 2020 and has since moved up to seventh in the world rankings. 'The Heat' has already won several different titles at the Players Championship and has also been successful on a Euro Tour. However, he is still waiting for a first major title.
Heta indicated before the start of this year that his main goal now is to win a major. His best achievement for now was reaching the semifinals at the 2024 UK Open.
Besides the board, there was already good news to note for the 37-year-old Australian. Indeed, Harrows Darts, Heta's equipment sponsor came out with news yesterday. "We are thrilled to announce the contract extension of Australia’s number one and current PDC world number 7, Damon ‘The Heat’ Heta!," they wrote on X.
"Damon has been with us since he decided to make the huge decision to leave Australia and pursue a career in professional darts and we have thoroughly enjoyed being with him on his journey to establishing himself as one of the best players in the PDC.
"It’s been a fantastic five years working alongside Damon, and we’re excited for many more years of success and collaboration as he continues his pursuit of even greater achievements!"
