Darts continues to thrive in Belgium: New exhibition tournament announced for November

Darts remains immensely popular in Belgium, with two European Tour events on the calendar this year. The Belgian Darts Open was already held in early March, while the Flanders Darts Trophy is set for late August. But there’s more good news for Belgian fans: a high-profile exhibition event is coming this November.

On November 27, the Primus Double Out tournament will take place at De Bellekouter in Affligem, bringing together several top-tier professionals for an evening of elite darts action. Belgian stars Dimitri Van den Bergh, Mike De Decker, and Andy Baetens are among the featured players.

“Primus Double Out brings together five top players in an exciting tournament format,” the organisers announced. “The professionals will be split into two groups, battling for a place in the semi-finals. The best players from each group will progress to the knockout stage, culminating in a grand final to crown the first-ever champion of this prestigious event.”

Joining the three Belgian stars are Welsh duo Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, rounding out a stellar five-man lineup. Legendary caller Russ ‘The Voice’ Bray and Belgium’s own Erik Clarys will be on hand to call the action. The evening will also feature a special 'BV Battle', pitting well-known Flemish celebrities against each other in a fun-filled exhibition segment.

Mike De Decker delighted home fans in March with a sensational run to the final of the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze, ultimately falling 8–5 to Luke Littler. The event was virtually sold out across the entire weekend, underscoring the ever-growing enthusiasm for darts in Belgium.

Primus Double Out serves as a follow-up to the Jupiler Top of Darts, which returns for its second edition on June 21 at Waregem Expo. After the resounding success of its inaugural event at the end of 2024, organisers have now added this new November showcase to meet the surging demand from Belgian darts fans.
