The draw has been completed for the US Darts Masters which will take place from Friday (27 June) to Saturday (28 June) at Madison Square Garden as World Series action heads to the Big Apple.

New York's Madison Square Garden is, for the fourth consecutive year, the magnificent setting for the World Series tournament in the American metropolis. In the first round of the US Darts Masters, the eight PDC top names face one of the North American players.

Firstly for Michael van Gerwen, it will be his first official tournament in a month and a half. After he lost during the 16th round of Premier League Darts playoffs, missing out on the playoffs, it was announced that his marriage to ex-wife Daphne had broken down. Van Gerwen decided to withdraw from a number of tournaments to focus on settling the divorce.

The Dutchman managed to win the US Darts Masters twice in the past during the peak of his powers. In 2017, he was the best at the first edition when it was still played in Las Vegas. In 2023, the cup also went back with him to Holland. Should Van Gerwen manage to win his first-round match against Gates, Gerwyn Price or Adam Sevada will await in the second round.

Luke Littler faces Jules van Dongen. The Dutch Dragon has hinted at retirement in recent days due to dartitis problems and has barely been seen on tour this year. He has also had to learn to play with his opposite hand to try and prolong his career. Also in this section of the draw are Nathan Aspinall and Matt Campbell.

Leading the seeds at the US Darts Masters is Stephen Bunting, who won the World Series tournaments in Bahrain and Denmark earlier this year, as well as making the final at the Dutch Darts Masters in Den Bosch. Bunting meets Jason Brandon in the first round. Damon Heta, making his debut in New York, faces Jim Long.

Defending champion Rob Cross will battle Danny Lauby, while Luke Humphries begins his tournament against Stowe Buntz. First-round matches begin Saturday morning at 12:00 a.m. UK time. The quarterfinals, semifinals and final will be played a day later.
