The Dutch Darts Championship 2025 in Rosmalen has seen notable withdrawals before a dart has even been thrown, with both Rob Cross and Gary Anderson pulling out of the tournament — prompting significant reshuffling in the draw and seeded positions.

Former World Champion Rob Cross, who was set to be the number four seed, has withdrawn from the event. His place in the main draw will be filled by Germany’s Ricardo Pietreczko, who now finds himself with a valuable opportunity to collect crucial ranking points in the race to qualify for the World Matchplay.

Shortly after the Tour Card Holder Qualifier concluded, the PDC received another blow as two-time World Champion Gary Anderson also confirmed his withdrawal. He will be replaced by Martin Lukeman, the top-ranked player on the reserve list.

The absence of Cross and Anderson has led to a reshuffle among the seeded players. Ryan Searle and Michael Smith both move up into seeded positions and will now enter the tournament in the second round.

World number one Luke Humphries heads the seeding list in Rosmalen in a tournament that also features Michael van Gerwen as a home hero and standout.

The Dutch Darts Championship 2025 takes place from May 23–25 and will be broadcast live on Viaplay and PDCTV.
