Gerwyn Price has taken the win on Night 12 of the 2025 Premier League Darts in Liverpool. 'The Iceman' defeated world number one Luke Humphries 6-4 in the final to boost his hopes of finishing the league phase within the top 4 by the time the playoffs arrive.
Earlier in the night, Price had secured his spot in the final with a 6-2 win over Chris Dobey in the quarter-finals averaging 106.74, and then a 6-2 victory over Rob Cross in the semi-finals averaging 105.27.
Humphries meanwhile, secured his latest nightly final of the 2025 Premier League Darts with a 6-3 win over Nathan Aspinall averaging more than 113, and then backing that up with a 6-4 victory over his old rival Michael van Gerwen in the semis.
In the final, both players continued their high quality darts in the early stages. Price broke throw in the opener with a 14 darter, before Humphries roared back into with back to back 12 darters to first level and then take the lead for himself.
Despite some missed darts at double in leg 4, Price then levelled things back up himself at 2-2. There were more missed darts at double in leg 5, but this time it was Humphries that came out on top, pinning double 10 for a 3-2 lead.
Price wasn't done yet though. The Welshman leveled up at 3-3 and broke the Humphries throw again in the 7th leg to get back in front at 4-3. A 14 dart hold of throw then followed for the Iceman putting him just one leg away from the Night 12 win. Although Humphries pulled one back in leg 9, 'Cool Hand Luke' wasn't able to completely overturn things as Pricw secured the nightly win and a 6-4 win over Humphries in the final by nailing double top.
