Graham Usher emerged victorious on Saturday night, claiming the Week 8 title in the eleventh season of the MODUS Super Series. His triumph on the final night earned him the weekly top prize of £5,000 and a coveted spot in Champions Week.

The six finalists had secured their places earlier in the week and were split into two groups of three for the final stage. Group A featured Usher alongside Tom Sykes and Carl Wilkinson, while Group B comprised Jason Heaver, Danny Jansen, and Jamie Kelling.

Usher navigated Group A with precision, edging out both Wilkinson and Sykes in deciding-leg thrillers, winning 4-3 in each encounter. Wilkinson claimed the second semi-final spot from the group thanks to a 4-2 victory over Sykes.

In Group B, Jamie Kelling was in dominant form, dispatching Jansen 4-0 and overcoming Heaver 4-2 to top the group. Heaver advanced as runner-up with a 4-1 win over Jansen.

The semi-finals saw Usher dismantle Heaver 4-0 in a clinical display, before Wilkinson edged out Kelling 4-2 to set up an all-Group A rematch in the final. There, "The Gambler" once again proved too strong for Wilkinson, sealing a 4-2 win and the weekly crown.

With his victory, Usher becomes the eighth player to book a place in Champions Week, set to begin on Monday, August 11. He joins Jeff Smith, Scott Taylor, John O’Shea, Shane McGuirk, Andy Hamilton, Adam Gawlas, and Jimmy van Schie as confirmed finalists.

What Is the MODUS Super Series?

The MODUS Super Series is a weekly darts competition featuring 12 players battling it out from Monday to Saturday. The week kicks off with six players in Group A, who face each other across the first three days. The group winner advances directly to Saturday’s finals night.

The second and third-placed players from Group A move into Group B on Thursday and Friday, where they’re joined by three new contenders. The top three from Group B progress to finals night. Meanwhile, the bottom three from Group A enter Group C with three additional players. From there, two more players also qualify for the Saturday showdown.

The final night consists of two groups of three players. The top two from each group advance to the semi-finals, followed by the weekly final to determine the winner. After 12 weeks, all the weekly winners return for Champions Week, where the ultimate winner of the series is crowned and takes home a £25,000 grand prize.
