György Jehirszki has qualified for the Poland Darts Masters 2025. The 41-year-old Hungarian won the Hungarian qualifying tournament last week and thus returns to the big World Series stage in Gliwice, where he already made his debut last year.
Jehirszki secured participation by winning 6-2 over four-time World Cup participant Janos Vegso in the final. He won five of the last six legs to qualify for the main tournament.
During the qualifying tournament in Hungary, Jehirszki started with a victory over Richard Balogh, after which he defeated both Jozsef Beke and Milan Lovei with a whitewash. In the quarterfinals, he dealt with Levente Antal (6-3), before fending off a late comeback from Patrik Kovacs in the semifinals (6-4).
The Poland Darts Masters will take place July 4 and 5 at the PreZero Arena in Gliwice. Defending champion Luke Littler, former winner Michael van Gerwen and other top names such as Gerwyn Price, Rob Cross, Stephen Bunting, Jonny Clayton, Nathan Aspinall and Chris Dobey are part of the strong field of participants.
In addition to Jehirszki, Krzysztof Ratajski, Radek Szaganski, Sebastian Bialecki, Tytus Kanik, Pero Ljubic (Croatia) and Karel Sedlacek (Czech Republic) are already certain to participate. The last spot is reserved for a yet-to-be-determined Eastern European qualifier.
