György Jehirszki and Gergely Lakatos will represent Hungary at the 2025 World Cup of Darts after the duo finally secured their qualification last weekend. Italy's duo has also now been announced.

The rising Jehirszki featured on the European Tour circuit earlier this year and will make his second World Series of Darts appearance at the Poland Darts Masters in July. The 41-year-old player will take part in the World Cup of Darts for the first time next month after he and Lakatos reached the final of the Hungarian Super League. In that final, Jehirszki was victorious 6-2, also taking the national title.

Lakatos will take part in his second World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt, after also participating in the 2022 edition. The former Winmau Development Tour semifinalist fought back from a 4-1 deficit to defeat Nándor Major in the quarterfinals. He then secured his participation with a victory over Nándor Prés in the semifinals.

Italy

The Italian team for the tournament next month has also been announced. Massimo Dalla Rosa returns as partner of tourcard holder Michele Turetta after winning Italy's national qualifier. The pair enjoyed a memorable run to the quarterfinals 12 months ago, in which they beat defending champion Australia, among others, before narrowly losing to Belgium in a thrilling quarterfinal.

The World Cup of Darts 2025 will take place from June 12 to 15 at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt. A total of 40 countries will compete for the coveted title and a share of the £450,000 prize money.
