Luke Humphries has recently spoken to the Daily Record answering the comments made by darts fans saying they’re bored of him and Luke Littler facing each other.
The World’s Number 1 and Number 2met for a sixth time in just 14 weeks of the Premier League when Luke Humphries beat Luke Littler in his home town of Leeds. With the pair also clashing in other events, the rivalry between Humphries and Littler has been dulled in the eyes of some observers.
Humphries says "I understand that when you’re playing each other a lot it does get tedious. But for me as a sport fan, I just personally love seeing the best go against each other.” He goes on to speak about Boxing legends Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr explaining how he wishes he could watch them fight over and over again. “You watch boxing and you see Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn what a fight that was, do I want to see that 20 times? Yeah, I would because it was great fight. I wouldn’t want to go and watch them fight against other people that weren’t as good because it wouldn’t be as fun”.
The Englishmen also says, “I think the fans should enjoy it, to be honest. It’s two of the best players in the world playing against each other. Hopefully, in my opinion, I want to see him in the Premier League final as well, because I just love playing against him.”
Do you think the pair playing each-other often is becoming boring of do you think we need to be honoured we get to see the best play against each other so much.
