'It just felt like home' - Luke Littler sails into Flanders Darts Trophy last 16 with perfect doubling display

Luke Littler made a winning return to Belgium in imperious fashion Saturday night, storming past Irish talent Dylan Slevin 6-0 in the second round of the 2025 Flanders Darts Trophy.

The 18-year-old World Champion, who lifted the Lecot Belgian Darts Open title on Belgian soil earlier this year, showed little sign of rust despite a disrupted build-up that included an emergency trip to the dentist. While others opted to skip the Antwerp weekend, Littler was determined to play – and his decision was fully vindicated.

Averaging 101.33 and landing four 180s, Littler’s clinical finishing proved the difference as he hit six doubles from six attempts – the first player of the tournament to register a whitewash victory. Slevin, despite scoring steadily with seven ton-plus visits and three 140s, never got a foothold, missing all three of his chances at a double.

"It just felt like home"

“When I came up on stage, it just felt like home,” Littler said on stage afterwards. “I love coming here. I'm glad to play well tonight and now I can focus on tomorrow. I want to win here, but it’s only my first game. Six out of six on the doubles, I don’t usually get that, so I'm very happy.”

It wasn’t quite the swashbuckling, relentless scoring display fans have grown accustomed to, but Littler’s ruthless checkout percentage ensured Slevin was brushed aside without reply. His 96 finish – the highest of the match – summed up the authority he carried whenever he reached a double.

Victory sets up a Last 16 clash with Ryan Searle, an always damgerous oppoent. But Littler, already with one Belgian title to his name in 2025, clearly has his sights on a second.

With the Antwerp crowd firmly on his side and the World Champion feeling at home on stage, Littler looks well placed to mount another serious charge this weekend.
