Jimmy van Schie achieved a double victory at the WDF tournaments in Antwerp last weekend. After winning the WDF Antwerp Open on Saturday, he also proved to be the best at the Belgium Open on Sunday.

Van Schie beat Richard Geers (4-1), Justin Atellinghusen (4-1), Damian Vetjens (4-1) and Alex Williams (4-3) to qualify for the final. In the final he faced Matt Clark, who was defeated convincingly 5-0. He took the top prize of 1600 Euros, while Clark returned home with 800 Euros in prize money. For Van Schie these are his first two WDF titles of the season. Last year the Dutchman was still superior on the WDF circuit when he won eight WDF tournaments.

In the women's event, the title was not the first to be won by Aileen de Graaf. The former Lakeside finalist captured the title by successively brushing aside Layla Brussel (4-1), Iselin Hauen (4-1), Natalie Gilbert (4-3), Sophie McKinlay (4-1) and Kirsi Viinikainen (5-3). For her, the title earned 800 euros, while Viinikainen had to settle for 400 euros.

It is the sixth time De Graaf has won the Belgium Open in the women's event. She also previously did so in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2024. It was also her second title of the season for De Graaf. She was the best at the Romanian Open earlier this season.
