Jonny Clayton survives Labanauskas scare; Littler, Price and Humphries complete Quarter-Finals at Nordic Darts Masters

It was an effective night for Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and defending champion Gerwyn Price in what was a clean sweep for the top PDC stars on Night One of the 2025 Nordic Darts Masters. Despite drama for Jonny Clayton.

While not at his best, Littler eased past Viktor Tingstrom 6-3. He averaged 90 but he managed to get the job done from 4-2 down against the rising Swede who took his Tour Card at the turn of the year but couldn’t produce a shock win to move into the next round.

He now faces off against Nathan Aspinall in the Quarter-Finals. While Littler was a bit off, Aspinall was in fine fettle as ‘The Asp’ blitzed Benjamin Drue Reus 6-0 to move through.

After winning a second European Tour of the year at the European Darts Open, Aspinall will be top of the world. But Reus perhaps won’t with his fourth successive whitewash defeat at this event.

Luke Humphries also didn’t have it all his own way as Madars Razma came from 5-2 down to force a decider against ‘Cool Hand Luke’. But the World No.1 took out 305 in six darts in the decider pinning 125 for the win against the Latvian.

It was a 6-5 win for Humphries who now moves through to face Gerwyn Price. The newly crowned Premier League champion could have a job on his hands though as he faces an Iceman who took care of Cor Dekker 6-3 with a 100.43 average. He hit an 11-darter in the last leg to defy late resistance from the Dutch born Norwegian tour card holder.

Chris Dobey started the night with a 6-2 win over Jeffrey de Graaf cementing his debut. He now faces Rob Cross who amid headlines about his tax affairs this week let his darts do the talking as he edged past Andreas Harrysson, a real banana skin 6-4. While Stephen Bunting saw off Oskar Lukasiak 6-3.

Jonny Clayton faces Bunting next. Lauded after his recent form, he had to survive a real scare as he sealed the win. Labanauskas missed match darts after hitting a 154 to set it up. Clayton had also reeled in the big fish 170 before that. A real scare missed.
