On July 4-5, the third edition of the Poland Darts Masters will be played at the ProZero Arena in Gliwice. This prestigious World Series tournament boasts a total prize fund of 60,000 pounds.

Eight of the best darts players in the world will compete against eight players from Eastern Europe during the event. Leading the field of competitors are reigning world champion Luke Littler and three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen. They will be joined by Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall, Stephen Bunting, Chris Dobey, Jonny Clayton and Rob Cross. The Eastern European selection includes Krzysztof Ratajski, Karel Sedlacek and Sebastian Bialecki.

The winner of this two-day tournament gets a check for 20,000 pounds. The losing finalist will receive 10,000 pounds. All participants are also guaranteed a minimum of £1,250 in prize money.

It is important to note here that the prize money does not affect the PDC Order of Merit, nor does it count toward the World Series of Darts Order of Merit. Instead, participants can earn points for the World Series of Darts rankings.

Each participant automatically receives one point upon entry. A place in the quarterfinals earns three points, and the semifinals are good for five points. The runner-up receives eight points and the tournament winner is rewarded with 12 points.

The eight highest ranked players at the end of the World Series season qualify for the World Series Finals, which will take place in Amsterdam later this year. After the Polish tournament, tournaments in Australia and New Zealand will follow. The World Series Finals will eventually be played from Sept. 12 to 14.

Last year's Poland Darts Masters saw Luke Littler win the tournament. He beat Rob Cross 8-3 in the final match-up. Both will return this year as the former aims to defend his title in Poland. A growing World Series tournament.
