Luke Humphries throws nine-darter in first round of Players Championship 6

For the second time within a week, Luke Humphries has thrown a nine-dart finish. Wednesday afternoon, "Cool Hand Luke" threw a leg in nine darts during the first round of Players Championship 6.

Humphries faced Andy Boulton in the first round and fell behind 1-2 after three legs. He turned that deficit into a 3-2 lead with a 13-darter and a 14-darter. Humphries then started the sixth leg with a 177 and a 180. A 144 finish in the third turn allowed the Englishman to record a nine-darter.

It is Humphries' sixth perfect leg on the PDC circuit. Last week, the world number one also managed to throw a nine-dart finish in the Premier League Darts.
