The fields have been announced in part for the Australian Darts Masters and New Zealand Darts Masters as Luke Littler and Luke Humphries head Down Under for the World Series of Darts double header.
But those expecting to see the Premier League line-up will only partially get their wish. Three spots have been left open with Michael van Gerwen, Nathan Aspinall and Rob Cross snubbing their invites due to family reasons.
Taking place between August 8-9 for the first event in Wollongong and August 15-16 in Auckland, the world's top two are joined by Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price and Chris Dobey. The latter makes his Oceanic debut. Price was the winner last year thumping Luke Littler 8-1.
Bunting won the Bahrain Darts Masters in January and returns after a decade absence. Damon Heta also gets to take centre stage as a member of the PDC representatives over an Oceanic qualifier. 'The Heat' is Australia's number one and broke into the World's top eight earlier this year.
Despite not expecting a call, many expected Heta to perhaps be involved in the Premier League but he will be able to return home to a heroes welcome once more. He also won the World Cup of Darts previously with Simon Whitlock who will also be involved as he maintains his ever present record down under.
'The Wizard' lost his Tour Card at the end of last year but fans of the Aussie will get to see him partner Heta at the World Cup of Darts and at the World Series events. While Haupai Puha as New Zealand's Number One also gets his chance in both events. Remaining qualifiers per tournament will be set in the coming months.
As will the remaining three players who will get their chance to shine on the World Series in the absence of the top darting names.
