Luke Littler may have had troubles with vandals while in Norwich competing in an exhibition but he also had issues when it came to Beau Greaves as he emerged as a closely fought winner in the end.
Littler took out 124 in the decider to take a 6-5 win over the top female darting star who on a rare weekend off was part of the touring stable alongside Littler and Humphries who played in most of the events over the course of the weekend.
Prior to that win, Fallon Sherrock also who had faced Greaves in Leicester didn't do battle with her rival but a legend who lives close to Norwich in Steve Beaton. Living in nearby North Walsham in Norfolk, he headed down the road to Epic Studios to compete.
He saw off 'The Queen of the Palace' 4-2 taking out 116 to complete the win with Sherrock herself taking out 118 during the contest for a leg. Prior to that, it was mainly matches between Humphries and Littler in the days before.
In Norwich on Saturday, it was an 8-3 win for 'The Nuke' as he took down his rival. While Greaves took down Sherrock in a 4-2 win in a match which featured five 180's and both players averaging over 90 in the end.
Littler also faced a member of the crowd and took out a 170 reeling in the fish with his superb celebration which many marveled at online as the talented 18-year-old manages to do it at will in an exhibition environment. In that afternoon session, he won again against Humphries 8-5 averaging 102 and hitting five 180's.
Next for Littler in particular is the Premier League on Thursday night as it heads to Sheffield with pretty much a dead rubber tie as both he and Humphries already move into the play-offs. But he won't be in Rosmalen.
He has decided not to enter the Dutch Darts Championship next weekend whether he is just merely taking the weekend off or will be in exhibition action again. Littler has become the master as of late of not over exerting himself.
Being the top talent that everyone wants to watch, Littler will no doubt feel like he needs to put on a show but also will know that with World Series and World Matchplay both inhabiting most of the summer before a busy Autumn that getting away while he can is also a big deal.
In a match of immense quality, Luke Littler takes out 124 to take a 6-5 win against Beau Greaves in our show closer in Norwich.
