Luke Littler heads into this weekend’s Nordic Darts Masters 2025 as the clear favourite to claim his third World Series of Darts title — and further cement his status as darts’ biggest rising star.
The 18-year-old darting sensation, already a champion on the World Series of Darts stage in both Bahrain and Poland back in 2024, will be aiming to bounce back in style after falling just short in last week’s Premier League Darts Play-Off Final at the O2 Arena.
Now, in Copenhagen, he’ll look to add another trophy to his rapidly growing collection.
The World Series makes its third stop of the season this weekend, with Forum Copenhagen hosting the two-day tournament. The format pits top PDC stars against regional qualifiers, continuing the global expansion of the sport.
While the first two titles of the year went to Stephen Bunting (Bahrain) and Rob Cross (Netherlands), it’s Littler who leads the betting this time around.
He opens his campaign on Friday with a first-round clash against Swedish debutant Viktor Tingström. Littler is a heavy favourite to win that match (1/25 with most bookmakers), and also tops the outright market at 33/25 with tournament sponsor Mr Vegas.
Littler came agonisingly close to Premier League Darts glory last week, losing in the final to Luke Humphries. He’ll be hungry to make amends — and based on form, few would bet against him.
His World Series pedigree already includes two event wins and a victory in the 2023 World Series Finals, and another title this weekend would only strengthen his claim as the sport’s most exciting new force.
Fresh off his Premier League triumph, Luke Humphries is seen as Littler’s main challenger in Denmark. ‘Cool Hand Luke’ is priced at 7/2, and will be keen to carry his momentum straight into World Series silverware.
Meanwhile, earlier winners Stephen Bunting (11/1) and Rob Cross (13/1) come in as outsiders — both proven on this year’s circuit and more than capable of springing a surprise.
