'Might as well win them both': Danny Lauby oozing confidence after stunning Rob Cross in New York

Danny Lauby wants to win both the North American Championship and the US Darts Masters after dumping out Rob Cross in a 6-0 win over 'Voltage' as he sparked into life on the big stage.

Lauby spoke afterwards and said merely that it should've happened sooner in his career. After long being a top talent, he finally got his PDC Tour Card but has found winning hard to come by and he hopes now it can be a catalyst.

But he will have to do it the hard way with two tournaments a day, the same feeling as Jason Brandon will have. Ally Pally though is the main thing on his mind though and that is the North American Championship. But having won his opener, he says he could yet be unstoppable.

"That was amazing. I did not see a six nil on that one. I played well, he did not. He didn't turn up. Obviously had the crowd, really really happy. Looking forward to Saturday," said Lauby to Online Darts.

"He didn't play to his standard. We can all agree on that and he would too. I just took advantage of it. I capitalized."

"Every win they're all hard, they're all difficult. I was just fortunate to capitalise on that one and go again Saturday. I feel like it should've happened sooner. If there was any other place it would happen apart from Ally Pally in front of that home crowd, this is where I want to have it happen."

"North American thing is obviously for me the most important thing. It's for my ranking, Ally Pally. I'm really gunning for that one. I'm going to do every one of my supporters proud and might as well win them both."

"Winning breeds winning, momentum is a hard thing to stop. I've not really done myself justice on the tour, I needed this. I'm going to build on this."
