Luke Littler bowed out of the US Darts Masters at the quarter-final stage last weekend, falling 6-4 to Nathan Aspinall in a high-quality contest in New York. Despite the result, The Nuke turned in a phenomenal performance, averaging 108.89 – his highest losing average on television so far this year.
That defeat marked Littler’s sixth televised knockout loss of the 2025 campaign. Remarkably, he has averaged over 100 in every single one of those defeats.
According to stats shared by Darts Orakel, Littler’s losing averages in those six TV knockout matches read:
105.12
107.59
108.50
100.29
100.33
108.89
The numbers paint a clear picture: Littler is consistently performing at an elite level, even in defeat.
Still just 18, the World Champion has already lifted the UK Open and Belgian Darts Open titles this year, further cementing his place at the top of the sport. But one major target remains — the World Matchplay in Blackpool.
Littler has made no secret of his ambition to win the prestigious summer tournament, which would see him complete darts' fabled Triple Crown (World Championship, Premier League, and World Matchplay).
If he continues to perform like this, it's surely a matter of when, not if.
