Luke Littler has moved into second place in the standings after winning the second night in the Premier League Darts. Only his great rival Luke Humphries has more points than Littler.

For a moment it looked like Littler would be eliminated in his first match, just like last week in Belfast. The English teenage sensation was trailing 5-1 in his opening match against Rob Cross, but managed to beat his compatriot 6-5.

Littler then beat Michael van Gerwen (6-2) and Luke Humphries (6-5) to take the weekly title in Glasgow. It earned him five points for the league table, which means he now occupies the second spot.

The first spot in the Premier League Darts is still held by Luke Humphries. The former world champion had won last week's round of play in Belfast and booked a back-to-back spot in the final. This brought his points total to eight points, while Littler follows in second place with five points.

Van Gerwen is in third place after two weeks of play. ‘Mighty Mike’ stranded twice in the semi-finals and is on four points. Chris Dobey is the number four with three points, while Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price are both on two points. Nathan Aspinall and Stephen Bunting are still without points in the Premier League Darts after two weeks of play.

Winner's bonus per week of play: £10,000

A unique aspect of the Premier League is that a separate tournament is played each week of play, with the winner receiving an additional £10,000. This means that a player who manages to win multiple weeks of play can boost his prize money considerably. Since the league lasts for 16 weeks, an additional total of £160,000 can be distributed to the winners of these nights of play.
