Standings Premier League Darts 2025: Nathan Aspinall forces Michael van Gerwen out of top four after Manchester triumph

The tenth night in the Premier League Darts 2025, which took place Thursday night at a churning AO Arena in Manchester, has once again caused a major shift in the standings. Nathan Aspinall was the big winner of the night: he recorded his first nightly win of this season and moves up to fourth place.

In the quarterfinals, Aspinall defeated a solid Rob Cross (6-2), after which he also defeated Michael van Gerwen (6-2), who never reached his level. In the final he faced Luke Humphries, who had beaten Littler earlier in the evening. But 'Cool Hand Luke' also had to bow to a very solid Aspinall, who won 6-4.

A fine victory for 'The Asp', who thus throws himself firmly in the race for a spot in the playoffs. His total now stands at 15 points, which puts him in joint third place with Gerwyn Price and Van Gerwen.

Despite his semifinal loss against Humphries, Luke Littler has maintained the lead in the standings. He won against Gerwyn Price (6-3) in the quarterfinals with impressive play and still holds a five-point lead over number two Humphries.

Michael van Gerwen started strong with a 6-4 win over Chris Dobey, but then fell through the ice against Aspinall. With an average of only 85.59 points, the Dutchman was hopeless. The gap to the top two is now considerable, although 'Mighty Mike' is still level on points with Price and Aspinall.

Behind Van Gerwen does follow a three-point gap to number six Rob Cross. For Chris Dobey (seven points) and Stephen Bunting (five points), participation in the playoffs looks set to become almost an impossible task.
