"I enjoy taking my darts all around the world, you get to go to wonderful places and meet different people and you get paid to do this". Rob Cross has been speaking to the media at The Poland Darts Masters after he beat 6-2 Krzysztof Kciuk.
Cross made it clear how he loves playing darts in so many different countries, he goes on to say "you don't get this in many jobs, so i'm always happy to go to different places".
The next question he was asked is if he worries about the ranking money, "I never ever worry about ranking, but it is easier here saying that, I just want to make sure i'm always qualifying for all the tournaments". Rob Cross had a very calm manor expressing he's desire to just be included in every event that spending his evening constantly worrying about rankings.
"The only spot to me that matters is being number 1 and if you're not that but entered into every event then don't worry, I don't put too much pressure on myself". Yet again a very calm approach of cause he wants to be number 1, he's been number 2 a few times, but he doesn't want to spend time worrying about it when he still gets to play at the highest level week in week out.
Going back to speaking about the tournament and his match against the Policeman, he says, "It was a close game but Kciuk never really got going which helped me but also kept the crowd quieter". "I will need to improve a lot for tomorrow, yes I won 6-2 but it wasn't that kind of game". Cross faces Michael van Gerwen in the next round and knows he cannot play like he did yesterday if he wants to advance.
Tune in tonight to see how everyone does in the Polish Darts Masters.
