As the PDC dubbed it, a very on-brand start from Cameron Menzies on his World Matchplay debut as he faces Danny Noppert. The winner faces either Luke Humphries or Gian van Veen.

But it wasn't Noppert that was the issue to start his tie as he couldn't open his water bottle hilariously and it was akin to a comedy sketch. He initially asked Noppert it seemed but the Dutchman walked away without trying to help.

Then Kirk Bevins tried and promptly failed with the match referee passing it on to one of the officials on stage doing the marking who promptly got it first time.

Very much a Cameron Menzies type start to his Blackpool bow, he will hope it doesn't hinder him too much against 'The Freeze' who may not have opened the water but it may have been a catalyst for the Scot's demise.
