Jarred Cole beautifully paid tribute on Wednesday to the sad news of the passing of Robert Thornton's wife. Christine Thornton passed away last week after an illness.
Cole was in action Wednesday during the third day of play of the MODUS Super Series, and he decided to throw with "The Thorn's" signature flights in his final game of the day.
Thornton had earlier opted out of the World Seniors Darts Champion of Champions, which was played last Sunday. Several prominent figures showed their support for the two-time major winner at the PDC. Among them, Adrian Lewis made himself heard. ''So sorry to hear this she was such a lovely lady sending our love to Rob and family," Lewis wrote on Twitter.
Fair play, Jarred Cole!
